A 30-year-old man accused of allegedly impersonating an advocate and presenting false legal documents has been remanded to Kamwenge Government Prison after the Kamwenge Chief Magistrate’s Court declined his bail application.
Darius Ninsiima, a resident of Nsorora Cell in Kamwenge Town Council, Kamwenge District, appeared before court on Wednesday following his arrest on June 15, 2026.
According to the charge sheet read by Chief Magistrate Her Worship Atim Harriet Okello, Ninsiima faces two counts of allegedly uttering false documents.
Court heard that on May 28, 2026, Ninsiima allegedly fraudulently presented a false Notice of Motion for Bail Application, which was purportedly signed by remandee Monday Robert, identified as prisoner number 241/2026.
“The accused knowingly presented a Notice of Motion for Bail Application purporting that it had been signed by remandee Monday Robert, whereas it was not,” the prosecution stated.
Prosecution further alleged that on the same day at Kamwenge Chief Magistrate’s Court, Ninsiima knowingly and fraudulently presented another false document—an affidavit in support of the bail application—which was also allegedly represented as having been signed by the same remandee.
“The accused is further charged with uttering a false affidavit in support of the bail application, allegedly bearing a signature attributed to the remandee,” prosecution told court.
Ninsiima denied the allegations, describing the charges as malicious.
“This case is orchestrated malice against me by the court system,” Ninsiima told court while applying for bail.
However, Chief Magistrate Atim Harriet Okello rejected the bail application and ordered that Ninsiima be remanded to Kamwenge Government Prison until July 2, 2026, when he will return to court for further proceedings.
Ninsiima reportedly operated offices in Kamwenge Town Council under the name Akandwanira and Co. Advocates Legal Consultants.
He is accused of offences relating to the alleged presentation of false documents, with prosecution expected to continue presenting evidence as the matter progresses.
